Note to parent or teacher: Here is a 20-minute lesson plan that highlights the learning objective: “Learn of the role of guardian angels, and how they are always with us.” (Christian Life and Faith: Spiritual Insight and Awareness: Angels and Departed Saints-1f)
Read “Angels, God’s Police Protection.”
Read “Angels Who Help.”
Read “Elisha’s Secret Army.” Ask the children to recount other times angels appeared in the Bible. [Some examples: The Angel Gabriel appearing to Zacharias, Mary, and Joseph in the Christmas story (Luke 1 and Matthew 1); the angel who spoke to Hagar in the wilderness (Genesis 16:7–11); the angel that Balaam’s donkey saw (Numbers 22:21–35).]
